چکیده
Numerical simulations are performed to investigate the effects of ambient density (ρam) and nozzle diameter (Dnoz) on ignition characteristic diesel spray combustion under engine-like conditions. A total nine cases which consist different ρam 14.8, 30.0, 58.5 kg/m3 Dnoz 100, 180, 363 μm considered. The results show that predicted delay times in good agreement with measurements. current mixture at central region becomes more fuel-rich as increases. This leads a shift high-temperature location from tip towards periphery increases 14.8 kg/m3. At higher 30.0 kg/m3, locations for all occur due shorter timing overly region. numerical first during occurs ρam⩽30.0 across Dnoz. ρam=58.5 fuel-lean 100 180 cases, but case. distinctive difference result is likely relatively longer time Furthermore, can be related local scalar dissipation rate large

متن کاملEFFECT OF NOZZLE DIAMETER AND ATOMIZING AIR PRESSURE ON CHARACTERISTICS OF IN-FLIGHT PARTICLES IN WIRE ARC SPRAYING
In wire arc spraying, the atomizing air pressure and applied nozzle system are important factors influencing particles characteristics and coating quality. The aim of this paper is to study how the characteristics of particles such as size, velocity and temperature are influenced by the operating conditions in wire arc spray. For that, three types of wires are tested: solid wire of stainless st...
متن کاملInvestigation the effects of injection pressure and compressibility and nozzle entry in diesel injector nozzle’s flow
Investigating nozzle’s orifice flow is challenging both experimentally and theoretically. This paper focuses on simulating flow inside diesel injector nozzle via Ansys fluent v15. Validation is performed with experimental results from Winkhofler et al (2001). Several important parameters such as mass flow rate, velocity profiles and pressure profiles are used for this validation. Results includ...
